Upon invitation, on Monday, September 28th, Jacqueline Cofield attended the organization’s first Women In Technology breakfast series, featuring a compelling hour of discussion with Lisa Gelobter and Laura Cave, as they highlighted the advancements, possibilities and challenges for women in the technology industry.  Robert Raben, The Raben Group’s Founder & President, welcomed the guest speakers and Principal, Alicin Williamson, facilitated the discussion.

Cofield was one of the few attendees in representing the arts, and was happy to engage Lisa Gelobter and various participants in how females in the arts are utilizing technology for creative production of particularly interactive and new media projects, advocacy, community development, education, and public arts projects.  J Rêve is actively meeting with creative developers around the world, to develop compelling content.

Gelobter discussed her background in creative industry, such as at BET, and provided unique insights into how women of color are navigating the paradigm.
