“The brain is the great factory of thought. To it are directed all the forces of nature, forces which, for thousands of years, have been expending themselves upon it and impressing on it a slow and continuous motion of evolution.” -Leonardo Bianchi (from The Mechanism of the Brain and the Function of the Frontal Lobes, 1922)
We at J Rêve International are very passionate about empowering future leaders to think creatively. We are committed to exposing youth to concepts such as Multiple Intelligences (developed by Harvard Professor Howard Gardner) to enhance their self-awareness, giving them strategies to use their strengths to build upon their weaknesses in the academic environment. Jacqueline Cofield regularly speaks to schoolchildren globally about the concepts of Multiple Intelligences’ different learning styles. On Monday, January 25th, she visited a middle school in Rochester, NY.

“We all have different learning styles. Some of learn kinesthetically, via movement, or visually, or by listening (audio), and the list goes on. The key is knowing what type of learner you are, so you can apply this proactively in your own achievements. Intelligence comes in many forms,” Jacqueline Cofield asserts to the students. She encourages them to gain intelligence also by reading, and developing global interests. By exposing them to how she’s gained intelligence in her life, through travel, the arts, a proactive attitude about learning, and self-awareness, she seeks to inspire them to do the same.
