“In Search of the Light” Documentary film on African American artists abroad

Currently in post-production, In Search of the Light, was shot in 7 countries (US, France, Italy, Spain, England, Mexico, and the Netherlands) and includes interviews with leading African American visual artists, exploring the impact of international education, travels, and expatriate living has on their  lives, and careers.

Interviewees: Sam Middleton, Barbara Chase-Riboud, Ed Clark, Richard Mayhew, Vicente Pimentel, Angelbert Metoyer, Frank Bowling, Nanette Carter, Mary Ann Rose Gentry, Sam Gilliam, Bill Hutson, Elizabeth Catlett, Najjar Abdul Musawwir, Richard Gibson, and Ealy Mays.
