Cuba has one of the most vibrant artistic histories in the Caribbean, largely owing to its location and cross-cultural history.  J Rêve International is pleased to announce its Global Arts & Culture program for creatives, educators, students, and culture enthusiasts, including:

  • Cultural Institution engagements 
  • Dedicated tour escorts & guides 
  • Engagements with Creatives & Cultural Programmers
  • Learn about Cuban culture, history and more during informative educational discussions with local experts

Program Fee $2600 for double room occupancy and $2800 for single room includes:

Due to the variety of locations of participants, each is expected to make his/her own flight reservations to Cuba through our recommended travel service partner on select flights.  Additional private and optional tours will be available upon request.

Additional nights can be arranged upon request. Single accommodations are limited and are available on a first come, first served basis.

Educators are encouraged to pursue professional development credits and sponsorship.   J Rêve International LLC is registered with the NYC Department of Education (FAMIS) systems (as well as the City of New York, if required) under FAMIS vendor number JRE594342.

Saturday, July 8th, 2017.
Arrival, Airport pickups transfer to accommodation.

Sunday, July 9th, 2017.
Lecture “Overview of Cuban Culture and History from Colonial period to present time”.

Callejón de Hammel visit.

Lunch in Old Havana area restaurant “La Mina”, after lunch walking tour, late afternoon return to accommodation.

Monday, July 10th, 2017.
9:30 AM. Lecture “Overview of Cuba General System of Education and Arts School System of Education”.
11:30 AM. Visit to Elementary school (Elementary Level).
1:00 PM Lunch in Vedado área “La Torre”.
3:00 PM. Afternoon visit to University of Habana (High Level), return to accommodation.

Tuesday, July 11th, 2017.
9:30 AM. Visit to National Ballet School (Middle Level).
11:30 AM. Visit to the National Museum of Fine Arts.
1:00 PM Lunch in Old Havana Area.
3:00 PM. Performance of Afrocuban Dance Company and one hour of dance lesson, return to accommodation.

Wednesday, July 12th, 2017.
9:30 AM Visit to “San Alejandro” Academy of Fine Arts (Middle Level).
10:30 AM Visit Fuster communitarian project and Kcho Gallery and project.
1:00 PM Lunch in Rancho PALCO.
3:00 PM Visit to the University of Arts (High Level) and after the school tour the meeting and discussion with school teachers and administrators about the role of arts and culture in education and global diplomacy. Return to accommodation.

Thursday, July 13th, 2017.
9:30 AM. Lecture “Architecture in Cuba”.
11:30 AM. Visit to the Wifredo Lam. Center of Contemporary Arts.
1:00 PM Lunch in Vedado area.
3:00 PM Visit to UNEAC (National Union of the Cuban Writers and Artist) meeting with professors, artist and writers, opportunity for panel.

Friday, July 14th, 2017.
9:30 AM. Lecture “Afrocuban Culture and Religion”
11:30 AM Visit to Museum of Guanabacoa.
1:00 PM Lunch in Cojímar town.
3:00 PM. Visit to Finca Vigía. Hemingway´s house.

Saturday, July 15th, 2017.
Airport Drop off.
